Main research topics
  • Genetic controls of meiosis in yeast: Gene expression, recombination and chromosome segregation.
  • DNA repair mechanisms: Homologous recombination, non-homologous end joining, error-prone DNA polymerases.
  • Cloning and manipulation of large alien DNA fragments in yeast in the form of artificial chromosomes (YACs).
  • Molecular genetic analysis of quantitative traits (QTLs) in yeast strains.
  • Gene expression studies spore germination in budding yeast and embarkation on the cell cycle.
