Application for Tenure Track Positions

The Alexander Silberman Institute of Life Sciences at the Hebrew University invites outstanding applications for a tenure-track position in the Life Sciences.

The Institute advances outstanding research in diverse life science disciplines including Ecology, Evolution, Microbiology, Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Plant Sciences, and more.

 

PhD and/or MD degree with a relevant background. Candidates are expected to have a strong track record in research, outstanding academic credentials, and a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate education. 
 
Recruits are expected to establish and lead an independent research group and teach and develop courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
 

Each application (in English) must include the following items:

  • Application Form
  • Profile photo
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • List of Publications
  • Scientific Biography (up to 2 pages)
  • Research Proposal (up to 4 pages)
  • Teaching Statement (no more than one page)
  • Copies of 3 representative papers
  • Recommendation letters, preferably including letters from the PhD and Post-doc advisor/s
  • List of 5 potential reviewing scientists in research field
