Research Interests

In our group we study different aspects of the biology of fertility. We focus on the study of the way oocytes develop, and what cause their rapid aging.

Research students in the lab use a variety of methods such as:

  1. Single-cell RNA-Seq
  2. CRISPR/Cas9
  3. Genomic analyses
  4. High resolution microscopy

Dissertation Topics

  1. How does signal transduction control oocyte aging?
  2. How long is non-coding RNA involved in oocyte and sperm development?
  3. Unexpected CRISPR outcome in double strand-breaks repair, and how to prevent it.
  4. What is the mechanism that facilitates whole chromosome silencing during oocyte and sperm development?
  5. How is  the germline stem cells population preserved?
  6. What is the difference in gene expression between oocyte of young vs advanced age women?
