The facility has three confocal microscopes, a wide-field fluorescent microscope and a high-through microscopic system.

The facility also has a computer room where various software for image processing and analysis are available.

The electron microscopy facility provides services, equipment, expertise and support to researchers in the fields of life sciences, materials science, medicine and nanotechnology.
Services include:
  • Preparation of biological samples: fixation, cutting, staining, observation and documentation of the results.
  • Immuno-electron microscopy using pre-embedding and post-embedding methods.
  • Negative staining.
  • Preparation and cutting of non-biological materials for researchers from the Institutes of Chemistry and Physics.
