The counselor roles are academic and include:
- Authorizations for including courses outside the program as part of the degree requirements
- Authorizations for including a compulsory-elective course as an elective course
- Help in choosing courses according to personal interests
- How to overcome difficulties in the academic studies
- Authorizations for courses taken in foreign universities as part of student exchange programs
The counselor cannot help in:
- Admittance to MSc studies
- Choosing MSc studies
- Improving the grade average
- Exceptional approvals for exams
- Any approval or authorizations related to courses that are not in life sciences, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, and programing
- Administrative preparations for finalizing your studies
The counselor cannot help in administrative matters. For those one must turn to the student’s secretariat. For example: registration for courses in the different systems
The counselor decisions can be appealed by turning to the program’s appeals committee.
